Photography is an art
It’s about finding extra-ordinary
In an ordinary place
I was born in Exmouth, Devon in 1955, then I moved around Devon until in 1970 I moved to Crediton and have lived in the area ever since. I am married with two children, both of them having left home and have good jobs, with homes of their own.
In 1978, my interest in photography started after seeing a friend’s slides of Torquay sea front at night. In 1980, I brought my first camera, a Nikon FM film SLR. I replaced this with another Nikon film camera until changing to digital in 2004. In 2009, I purchased my present camera a full frame digital SLR, a Nikon D700. In 2011, I decided to focus on landscape photography as my main photographic subject and I set up my website that same year.
My love of landscape photography has taken me all over the South West and beyond. In the past five years, I have had many exhibitions in and around Crediton (where I live). In early 2019, I started a range of Landscape Photography greetings cards, which are for sale in a number of shops in the local area, including Crediton Card Centre, Bernaville Nurseries and many village shops near my home.
Please look at my Guides page, this has information on the equipment I use and my Photographic Philosophy.
